Trifolium ochroleucon
Trifolium ochroleucon (sometimes spelt ochroleucum) has large sulphur yellow clover flowers. The flowers are far larger than our native clover and the plant itself forms well behaved clumps, so no risk of this species rampantly running through your borders. It is a beautiful and distinctly different flower shape that combines well with spires of lilac purple salvias, campanulas and the flat heads of lemon yellow achilleas in early to mid Summer.
