Aster amellus ‘Brilliant’ is an earlier flowering species with richly coloured vibrant pinkish-purple flowers. Flowering in August,  Aster amellus ‘Brilliant’ is 60-70cm in height and is self supporting. It needs a sunny spot and reasonable drainage.
