Allium schoenoprasum ‘Black Isle Blush’

Allium sch. ‘Black Isle Blush’, is a gorgeous selected form of the humble chive.  Whilst it can still be used in culinary dishes, our preference is to use it as an ornamental plant.  Its flowers are the real draw, with the flowers on ‘Black Isle Blush’ being a real ghostly lavender.  We have ours planted with the rich purple flowers of Iris ‘Langport Wren’.  It would also make a fabulous edging in a vegetable garden.
