Actaea ‘Chocoholic’

Actaea ‘Chocoholic’ is an invaluable border perennial with its tall elegant flower spikes of creamy white scented flowers appearing in late August-September. From early Spring its emerging foliage is a deep maroon black which creates a wonderful foil to other earlier flowering plants. The scent of Actaea in late Summer -Autumn fills the air and the seed heads that persist through Winter are wonderfully architectural. Height 1.2-1.5 cm. Best in part shade but will tolerate full sun on more moisture retentive soils.
